Of all the threats that face the peoples of the Flanaess, none is more sinister than the encroaching threat of Iuz. As the only deity whose home plane is the Material, the Old One (as he is called) seems a nigh unstoppable force. The Horned Society has already fallen beneath his hordes. The Shield Lands and Highfolk have fought bravely and have held far longer than was expected but today each is a fraction of its formal self. Furyondy has held out so far but only just.
